To prevent good food from going to waste, our stores donate surplus to local community groups at the end of each day via Caboodle. So far, we've given away over 3m meals and counting. If you're a not-for-profit group and could use this food then apply to be a partner with your local Co-op now.
It’s simple, you need to be a not-for-profit group, committed to collecting food from our stores and using it to feed people in your local community. Also, you need to be registered as a food premise with your local authority, find out how to do that here.
No two days are the same in the world of retail. The food you’ll get will vary depending on what’s available on the day. Evening donations will typically be bakery, fresh fruit and veg and also some fresh meat and chilled products.
Preferably in the evenings, if that’s not possible then collections can be arranged the following day - the sooner you pick it up the fresher it will be.
