You helped test and shape our online wills and estate planning tool
We asked:
In our August 2025 Join in membership email, we asked members to answer a quick question about whether they have a plan for the future.
If they had a bit more time, we also asked them to help us test a new tool to support members on protecting what matters most - their home, their money and their family.
You said:

60% of members told us they have a plan for the future.

61% of members said our online wills and estate planning tool sounded like it would be helpful.

2,700 members who joined in had not heard of Co-op legal services before.
We did:

You helped us understand more about how we have difficult life planning discussions
You said:
Members told us they believed that simply having the debate around assisted dying had been a good thing as they felt this was an important topic that needed discussing.
The bill - and the media coverage around it - also prompted members to have more conversations around death and bereavement. Over a quarter (28%) said it had led to them having greater consideration for general later life planning.
We did:
We’re aiming to use insights from members to inform External PR/PA activity that will highlight the impact of the Assisted Dying Bill and its impact on the public’s likelihood of having difficult conversations / consider later life planning.
