Beef rib burger with five cheese sauce and sticky onions

  • 4 Co-op Irresistible Hereford beef rib burgers
  • 1 tbsp Co-op vegetable oil
  • 2 red onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Co-op Fairtrade clear honey
  • 1 tbsp Co-op red wine vinegar
  • 4 Co-op Irresistible brioche buns
  • Iceberg lettuce, to serve


  1. Grill the burgers according to the pack instructions
  2. Cover with foil and leave to rest for 5 mins
  3. Meanwhile, heat the vegetable oil in a small frying pan and add the onions
  4. Cover and cook over a medium heat for 5 mins, then uncover and cook for 6-8 mins more
  5. Add the honey and red wine vinegar, then bubble for 2-3 mins, until sticky
  6. Halve, then lightly toast the buns
  7. Divide the five cheese sauce, which comes with the burgers, between the buns, top with the burgers and sticky onions, then finish with some iceberg lettuce
