  • 100g chorizo
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 x 400g tins butter beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Juice of 1/4 lime
  • Large handful chopped fresh coriander (optional)
  • 1 Co-op British egg


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas 5
  2. Peel the skin off the chorizo and finely chop the meat
  3. Heat half of the oil in a pan and cook the chorizo for 5 minutes, then add the paprika
  4. Put the beans in a large bowl, add the lime juice and crush with a potato masher
  5. Add the chorizo and coriander and mix together. Now add the egg and shape into 4 burgers
  6. Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for 3 minutes on each side, then put onto a baking tray and bake in the oven for 10 minutes
  7. Make sure your dinner is fully cooked and piping hot before serving it up
