Garlic and almond broccoli


Give broccoli a boost with the fresh flavours of garlic and lemon, then top with almonds for added crunch

  • 500g broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 clove garlic, finely sliced
  • Juice and zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 20g toasted flaked almonds


  1. Heat a splash of olive oil in a frying pan
  2. Add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 4-5 mins, until softened
  3. Add the garlic to the pan and fry for another 2 mins, until the edges of the broccoli begin to char
  4. Add the lemon juice and zest, and cook for a further 30 seconds
  5. Serve with the flaked almonds scattered on top
