250g Co-op British plums, stoned and roughly chopped
15g caster sugar
2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
250g new potatoes
200g pack Co-op British purple sprouting broccoli
1 spring onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped, or 1 tsp dried
2 tsp Co-op olive oil
2 Co-op British lamb leg steaks, trimmed of fat

Method

Put the plums, sugar, vinegar, chilli sauce and 2 tbsp water in a pan and simmer for 15–20 mins, stirring often, until the plums are soft
Meanwhile, place the potatoes in a pan of boiling water and simmer for 15 mins, or until tender
Add the broccoli for the last 5 mins, then drain
Set the broccoli aside then, using a fork, roughly crush the potatoes with the spring onion, mint and oil
Meanwhile, fry the steaks on a medium heat for 8 mins, turning every 2 mins
Serve with the plum sauce, broccoli and mash
