  • 1/2 swede, peeled and diced
  • 2 turnips, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp Co-op olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Co-op runny honey (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes (optional)
  • 200g tortilla chips
  • 200g Co-op mild salsa
  • 1/2 Co-op ripe and ready to eat avocado, peeled, stoned and diced
  • 50g Co-op reduced fat Cheddar, grated


  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/Gas 6
  2. Place the swede and turnip in a shallow roasting tray and toss in the olive oil. Roast in the oven for 30 mins, stirring halfway through
  3. Drizzle with the honey and chilli flakes, if using, and cook for 5 mins more, until soft and golden
  4. Heat the grill to medium-high
  5. Pour the tortilla chips into an ovenproof dish, scatter with the roasted veg, then spoon over the salsa and avocado chunks
  6. Scatter with the grated cheese and place under the grill for 2-3 mins, until melted
  7. Double up the ingredients for a great shared snack when you have friends over in the evening
