Singapore fried rice

  • 280g Co-op long grain brown rice
  • 1 tbsp medium curry powder
  • 320g savoy cabbage
  • 3 Co-op British eggs, beaten


  1. Cook the rice according to the pack instructions
  2. Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan and gently fry the curry powder for 1 minute
  3. Add the cabbage, turn up the heat a little and stir fry for 3 mins
  4. Add 4 tbsp water, cover the pan and cook for another 2 mins, then remove the lid and simmer until the liquid has evaporated
  5. Add the cooked rice, make a well in the centre and pour in 1 tsp oil
  6. Add the egg and stir until lightly scrambled, then season and mix with the rice.
