  • 397g can condensed milk
  • 2 Co-op Irresistible buttermilk crumpets
  • 1 Co-op British apple


  1. To make the toffee sauce, first remove the label from the can of condensed milk
  2. Carefully lower the can into a pan of boiling water and cook for 2 hours It’s important to make sure the pan doesn’t boil dry, so keep topping it up with water
  3. After 2 hours, carefully remove the can and leave to cool
  4. Toast the crumpets, slice in 1/2 horizontally, then toast again until golden
  5. Carefully open the can of condensed milk and spoon 1 tbsp of the toffee sauce over each
  6. Leave to cool until the crumpets have absorbed the toffee and are sticky and slightly crunchy
  7. Core and thinly slice the apple, then top the crumpets with the apple slices and an extra 1 tsp of toffee each
