Cancelling your travel insurance policy

You can cancel your travel insurance policy at any time. But if you would like to discuss ways to manage or change your cover, you can call us. Please note that changes to your policy can result in less cover.

Travel insurance can give you extra protection if your holiday or trip doesn't go as expected. Cancelling your policy means a claim cannot be made.

How to cancel

If you cancel your policy in the first 14 days, you will get a full refund for any payments made. This is provided you have not submitted a claim.

After 14 days, you may still be able to cancel your policy. Please email or write to us with your specific circumstances to find out if we can offer you a partial refund.

When calling us, you will need to provide:

  • your policy number
  • your name and address
  • your date of birth

Only the policyholder can cancel the policy. If you want someone else to do it, you must contact us to give them permission.

What if I don't want to renew my annual travel insurance?

We will typically send you a renewal invitation at least 3 weeks before your renewal date. The invitation will state whether your policy is set for automatic renewal.

If you do not want to renew and your policy is not set to renew automatically, you do not need to do anything further.

If you pay via direct debit, you will need to contact us at least 4 days before your renewal date to cancel your automatic renewal.

Co-op Members

For Co-op Members, cancelling your policy does not mean losing your Co-op Membership. You will stay a Co-op Member unless you decide to cancel your Membership.
