Car insurance is offered through Co-op Insurance Services and provided by a select panel of insurers.

We offer two different types of cover, comprehensive and third party, fire and theft. Both types of policy cover social, domestic and pleasure journeys as standard.

You can also add commuting and business use when you get your quote.

We'll provide a courtesy car when one of our approved repairers fixes your car as part of a claim.

Uninsured Driver Promise

Following an accident that is the fault of an uninsured motorist we will refund the cost of your excess and restore your No Claims Discount. You must be able to provide the vehicle reg, car colour, make and model and the uninsured driver's details.

What Co-op Car Insurance does not cover

There are certain things our insurance doesn’t cover, these include:

  • professional driving instruction
  • any journeys made as part of motor trade operations
  • hiring your car to someone else
  • motor racing
  • track days.

Add extras to your Co-op Car Insurance policy

You can add extra cover when you buy your policy online. These include:

  • UK and European breakdown cover
  • guaranteed hire car cover, that will get you back on the road if your car is written-off or stolen
