Van insurance comes with a variety of features and you can choose from comprehensive or third party, fire and theft levels of cover.

What comprehensive van insurance covers

Some of the things that are covered in comprehensive policies include:

  • replacement locks up to £500 if your van keys are lost or stolen
  • repair work guaranteed for the time you own the insured vehicle when you use an approved repairer
  • personal belongings up to £250 if they are damaged or stolen.

With comprehensive cover you also get:

  • a courtesy car derived van for up to 14 days when one of our approved repairers fixes your van as part of a claim
  • a 24-hour accident recovery service if your van needs to be recovered in an accident for which you could make a claim
  • up to £250 toward the cost of draining and flushing inappropriate fuel due to misfuelling
  • our Vandalism Promise means that if you make a claim as a result of vandalism that you've reported to the Police, you won’t lose your no claim discount
  • our Uninsured Driver Promise means that if you have an accident that is the fault of an uninsured motorist, we will refund the cost of your excess and restore your no claim discount. You must be able to provide the vehicle reg, car colour, make and model, and the uninsured driver's details.

What van insurance does not cover

There are certain things our insurance doesn’t cover, including professional driving instruction, motor trade operations, hiring your car to someone else, and motor racing.

Add extras to your van insurance policy

You can add extra cover when you buy your policy, including:

  • breakdown cover
  • motor legal expenses insurance, that can help recover your uninsured expenses when an accident wasn’t your fault

Make a van insurance claim

Calls are charged at local rates from landline and mobiles. If your phone has inclusive minutes these calls are normally included.

Van insurance is offered through Co-op Insurance Services and administered by Affinity Insurance Solutions Limited.
