Cancelling your car insurance policy
You can cancel your car insurance policy at any time. But if you would like to discuss ways to manage or change your cover, you can contact us to make a change. Please note that changes to your policy can result in less cover.
Car insurance gives you financial protection in the event of an accident. Cancelling your policy means a claim cannot be made.
It is a legal requirement to have at least third-party insurance for your vehicle, unless it is kept off the road.
What if I do not want to renew my car insurance?
We will typically send you a renewal invitation at least 3 weeks before your renewal date. The invitation will state whether your policy is set for automatic renewal.
You can also find this on your confirmation letter by logging into your account. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can register for an online account using the details on your policy.
If you do not want to renew and your policy is not set to renew automatically, you do not need to do anything further.
If you pay monthly via direct debit, you will need to cancel your automatic renewal at least 4 days before your renewal date via our call centre or online.

When calling us, you will need to provide:
