At Co-op Funeralcare, we'll always be here to help whenever you need us. Please contact us if you need extra support when arranging a funeral or buying a pre-paid funeral plan.

You might need extra support for any number of reasons. It could be because:

  • someone close to you has died and you're feeling overwhelmed. We’ll do what we can to help you through this difficult time
  • you're paying for a funeral plan in monthly payments and you’re having trouble paying. Please tell us as soon as possible to see if we can help
  • you need us to explain any words or phrases you don’t understand
  • you need a translator as English is not your first language
  • you have hearing loss
  • you have a visual impairment
  • you'd like your documents in another format such as large print, braille (where available), pdf or email
  • you have a terminal illness and you're not sure what options there are for planning your funeral

Charities and organisations

Our funeral directors are always here to help, but if you'd prefer to talk to an organisation that can support your individual needs, then you can find more help by contacting the charities and services listed here.

Macmillan Cancer Support provide emotional, practical, physical, and financial support for people living with cancer and their loved ones.

Marie Curie offer care and support at the end of a person's life.

Age UK provide support, companionship and advice for older people.

Dementia UK have specialist nurses who work alongside families and help the person with dementia stay independent for longer.

Mind is a leading mental health charity. It provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

SAMH works with adults and young people across Scotland, proving mental health support.

Inspire work together with people living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addictions to help improve their abilities.

Cruse Bereavement Support offer personalised bereavement support and advice.

RNIB is committed to helping blind and partially sighted people.

The Partially Sighted Society provides information, advice, training, magnifiers and electronic low vision aids and clear print material for anybody with a visual impairment to help them to make the best use of their remaining sight.
