Our Alexandria funeral home is available to take your call at any hour, day or night, and we can arrange to bring your loved one into our care from your home, a hospital, or another location whenever you are ready. There is no pressure to make any decisions immediately, our team will talk you through what needs to happen and at what pace, including the paperwork and registration that will be required in the days ahead. When you do feel ready to come in and sit with us on Steven Street, we will be here to listen and to help.
Yes, our team is here for families across Renton, as well as Alexandria itself and the surrounding area including Balloch. Wherever you are in the Vale of Leven, we can come to you and guide you through every step at whatever pace feels right for your family. You never need to feel alone in making these arrangements.
We work regularly with Cardross Crematorium and Clydebank Crematorium, and our team will help you choose the one that feels right depending on your wishes and those of the people who will be travelling to be there. On the day itself, we take care of everything from the moment we leave Steven Street so that your family can focus entirely on being together. Our funeral directors will be with you throughout, making sure the service reflects exactly what you had in mind.
We understand that a funeral must feel true to the person who has died and to the family who loved them, whether that means a traditional religious ceremony, a humanist celebration of life, or something that draws on specific cultural traditions. Our team at the Alexandria funeral home will take the time to listen carefully and work with the celebrant, minister, or officiant of your choice. No two funerals are the same, and we will do everything we can to make yours feel personal and meaningful.
Our chapel of rest at Steven Street gives families a quiet, private space to spend time with their loved one before the funeral, and our team will always make sure it feels dignified and comforting. We also have a service venue on site with space for up to 70 people, which means many families choose to hold the service here rather than travelling elsewhere. There is on-site parking available and the funeral home is fully wheelchair accessible, so everyone who needs to be there can be there without difficulty.
