About Co-op Funeralcare, Alloa

We're proud to have served our community in Alloa since the 1970s. In that time, our funeral home has helped countless families, offering the practical guidance and advice they need to arrange a fitting send off for a loved one. Whether you live in Alloa or surrounding areas like Clackmannnanshire, Stirling, Fife or Falkirk, no one knows the area and its people better than our team.

We've built strong links with places of worship in the local area and we know many of the local clergy, religious leaders and funeral celebrants. So whatever type of funeral you need to arrange, religious, non-religious, traditional or a celebration of life, we will listen to you and take you through everything you need to do. We're also known for helping to arrange Travelling community, Muslim, Humanist, Sikh, Hindu and Buddhist funerals, too.

A funeral arrangement meeting with us is a conversation over a cup of tea as we decide and arrange things together. When you need us, call us or come and see us on Sunnyside Road.

Questions and answers

We regularly arrange services at Westerleigh Stirlingshire Crematorium and Falkirk Crematorium, and we'll handle all the coordination with whichever venue suits your family best. Our team will book the time, liaise with the crematorium staff, and make sure everything runs smoothly on the day. If you'd like a service before the cremation, we can hold that either at our own chapel here on Sunnyside Road or at a church or venue of your choosing.

Absolutely. We work closely with local churches including St. Mungo's RC Church, Alva Parish Church and Sauchie & Coalsnaughton Parish Church, and we're experienced in coordinating religious services of all kinds. Our team will liaise directly with your priest or minister to ensure the service reflects your family's faith and traditions. We're equally comfortable arranging non-religious or humanist funerals if that's what you'd prefer.

Yes, our phone line is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. We know that death doesn't keep office hours, and you might need guidance or support at any time. When you call, you'll speak to a real person who can listen, answer your questions and arrange for us to collect your loved one from hospital, a care home or their own home. There's no pressure and no rush, we're here whenever you need us, day or night.

Yes, we have both. Our Alloa branch has a peaceful chapel of rest where you're welcome to spend time with your loved one in private, and we also have our own service chapel on site. This means you can hold the entire funeral here if you wish, without needing to book a separate church or crematorium for the service. Alternatively, if you'd prefer a service at a local church or at Westerleigh Stirlingshire Crematorium, we'll arrange that too.

Absolutely. We serve families right across Clackmannanshire, including Sauchie, Alva, Coalsnaughton, Tullibody and all the surrounding villages. Our team also covers Stirling, Fife and Falkirk, so wherever you are in the area, we're here to support you. We've been part of this community since the 1970s and we know the local churches, crematoriums and venues well, which means we can arrange everything with care and attention to detail.
