Yes, our team covers the full breadth of rural Angus as well as Arbroath itself, so distance is rarely a barrier when your family needs us. Whether you are based in a small village or a more remote part of the county, we can come to you and guide you through every arrangement from the start. We have been caring for families across this part of Scotland since 1902, and that long-standing connection to the area means we know these communities well.
Absolutely, we work regularly with several local churches and can help arrange a service at St Thomas' RC Church for Catholic families, or at the Church of Scotland West Kirk for those of that tradition. We also have a relationship with St Andrew's Church and St Mary's Episcopal Church, so whatever your family's faith, we can liaise directly with the clergy on your behalf. If you would prefer a non-religious service, we have a service venue on-site at our Gowan Street funeral home that holds up to 100 people.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you call us, and our team is here whenever you need us, day or night. Once you get in touch, we can arrange to bring your loved one into our care at our Gowan Street funeral home while you take the time you need to make decisions. We can also talk you through the paperwork and registration process that is required in Scotland, so you are never left wondering what to do next.
We most commonly use Parkgrove Crematorium in Dundee for cremation services arranged through our Gowan Street funeral home. On the day, our team will travel with your family and lead the procession to Parkgrove, making sure everything runs smoothly from departure through to the committal. We will talk you through exactly what to expect beforehand so that nothing on the day comes as a surprise.
There is on-site parking for up to 60 cars at our Gowan Street funeral home, and there is also good unrestricted street parking close by, so getting here should be straightforward for your family. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, and we have an accessible toilet as well as a ground floor arrangement room, so no one in your family needs to manage stairs. We have three arrangement rooms in total, including a chapel, and we want the space to feel comfortable and private for every family who visits us.
