View funeral notices and leave a tribute or donation in their memory
A cremation service follows much the same shape as any funeral — your family gathers to mark the life of someone who has died, with readings, music and personal tributes if you wish. We can arrange for the service to be held here at our Edward Street funeral home, which seats up to 35 people, or at a venue that holds meaning for your family such as Cowal Kirk. Afterwards, we will talk you through the options for the ashes, whether that means a local scattering, a keepsake, or something else entirely that feels right.
We regularly work with St Mun's RC Church in Dunoon and with Cowal Kirk, and our team is experienced in coordinating services to meet the requirements of different faiths and denominations. Whether your family needs a traditional Catholic Requiem Mass, a Church of Scotland service, or a completely non-religious ceremony, we will make sure every detail is handled with respect for what matters to you.
You can call us at any time — day or night — and our team will guide you calmly through what needs to happen, including arranging to bring the person who has died into our care at Edward Street. We can also help you understand which paperwork needs to be obtained, such as the medical certificate of cause of death, before the death can be formally registered at the local registrar in Dunoon.
Yes, our team on Edward Street serves families across Innellan, Sandbank, Strachur and the wider Clyde Coast, so wherever you are along that stretch of coastline, we can be with you. We also cover Greenock and the Garnock Valley, meaning distance is rarely a barrier to the care your family needs.
Our chapel of rest on Edward Street gives your family a quiet, private space to spend time with the person who has died at a pace that suits you. The funeral home has on-site parking for eight cars as well as unrestricted street parking directly outside, and the building is fully accessible at ground level with a wheelchair-accessible toilet, so there are no barriers to visiting whoever in your family needs to be there.
