We work closely with Shay Grange, Park Wood and Rawdon crematoriums, and our team will guide you through every step of the process. We'll help you choose the right crematorium for your family, coordinate the service time, and arrange all the practicalities including transportation and any music or readings you'd like included. After the service, we'll support you with collecting the ashes and discuss options for their care, whether that's scattering, burial or keeping them at home.
Yes, we have both a chapel of rest where you can spend private time with your loved one, and our own service venue here at the Holdsworths branch. This means you can hold the funeral service right here if you prefer, without needing to travel to a church or crematorium first. Our on-site chapel gives families a peaceful, intimate space, and since we've been serving this community since the 1970s, many local families appreciate the option of keeping everything under one roof with a team they know and trust.
Yes, absolutely. Our Holdsworths funeral home on St Helena's Road serves families right across Wyke, as well as Odsal, Wibsey and Low Moor. We've been part of this community since the 1970s, so we know the local area well and have strong relationships with churches, crematoria and venues throughout the region. Whether you need us to arrange a service at one of the local churches like St Joseph's or St Winifred's, or at Shay Grange, Park Wood or Rawdon Crematorium, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
The first thing to do is contact us, we're available day and night to bring your loved one into our care. If they've passed away at home, we'll arrange for our team to collect them respectfully and handle all the necessary registrations. From there, we'll sit down with you at our funeral home on St Helena's Road to talk through your options, whether that's viewing in our chapel of rest, choosing between burial or cremation, and planning a service that feels right for your family.
Absolutely, we regularly arrange services at St Joseph's Catholic Church, St Winifred's Catholic Church and St Paul's Church, working closely with local clergy to ensure everything follows the right traditions. Our team understands the importance of religious ceremonies and will coordinate all the details, from liaisons with the priest to timing the service alongside any crematorium bookings. We can also arrange non-religious or humanist services, either at one of the crematoriums we use or here in our own on-site chapel.
