We are experienced in arranging funerals across a wide range of faiths, beliefs, and personal philosophies, and work closely with local clergy and celebrants to reflect what matters most to your family. We regularly hold services at Gardner Memorial Church, St Ninian's RC Church in Brechin, Edzell Church, and Fettercairn Church, as well as other venues that hold meaning for you. Whether you are looking for a traditional religious service, a secular celebration of life, or something entirely personal, our team on Latch Road will make sure every detail is right.
We work with Parkgrove Crematorium in Dundee and Aberdeen Crematorium, and our team will talk you through which feels right for your family depending on your wishes and circumstances. On the day itself, we travel with you every step of the way — from collecting the person who has died from your home or our chapel of rest on Latch Road, through to the service at the crematorium and beyond. Our team takes care of all the arrangements so your family can focus entirely on being together.
Our team covers a wide area across Angus and beyond, including Edzell, Montrose, Friockheim, and into Aberdeenshire, so wherever you are we can be there for you. From our funeral home on Latch Road in Brechin we regularly travel to the surrounding villages and countryside to care for families and the person who has died. Distance is never a barrier to the support we offer.
We are here around the clock, every day of the year, so please do not hesitate to call us as soon as you need us — our team can come to you whether your mother died at home, in hospital, or in a care setting near Brechin or further afield. When you are ready, we will bring the person who has died into the care of our chapel of rest on Latch Road, where she will be looked after with great gentleness and respect. The paperwork and practical decisions can all wait until you feel ready to sit down with us, and we will guide you through every step at your own pace.
Our funeral home on Latch Road has on-site parking with around 40 spaces, though it is worth knowing there are some restrictions nearby due to the local school and double yellow lines just outside, so arriving a little early can be helpful. The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with a ground floor arrangement room, wheelchair access throughout, and an accessible toilet, so every member of your family can be with you when you come to make arrangements. Our arrangement room comfortably accommodates up to four people, giving your family a quiet, private space to talk things through with our team.
