Yes, our team at Wm Gilchrist is very familiar with Newmachar and the surrounding communities, and we regularly support families from there as well as from Bucksburn, Dyce, Blackburn, Inverurie, Stoneywood, and Mastrick. Wherever you are in the area, we can come to you and guide your family through every arrangement at a pace that feels right for you.
We regularly work with Dyce Parish Church, Brimmond Parish Church, and Newmachar Parish Church, and we are equally comfortable arranging services that are non-religious or that reflect a particular faith tradition. Our team will take time to understand what matters most to your family and help shape a service that feels personal and true to the person who has died.
We use Aberdeen Crematorium and Baldarroch Crematorium, and our team will talk you through which location suits your family's wishes and practical needs. On the day itself, we take care of every detail — from the procession to supporting your family as you arrive — so that you can focus entirely on being present and saying goodbye with dignity.
You can call us at any time, and one of our team will be there to help you from that very first conversation — there is no need to wait until the morning or until you feel ready with all the details. We can arrange to bring your father into our care from Bucksburn, Inverurie, or anywhere across the areas we serve, and we will gently walk you through the necessary paperwork and next steps so nothing feels overwhelming.
There is a free car park nearby as well as street parking, though the car park can be busy during the day — if you are visiting during school holidays you are likely to find it much quieter. Our funeral home on Oldmeldrum Road is fully accessible: the arrangement room is on the ground floor, there is wheelchair access throughout, and an accessible toilet is available, so every member of your family can be with you when you come to make arrangements.
