Yes, our Burnham-on-Sea funeral home covers Cheddar as well as the surrounding villages including Berrow, Brean, Mark and West Huntspill. We have been serving families across this part of Somerset since 2013, and over the years we have come to know the local area and its communities well. Whatever your circumstances, our team is here to help you from the very first call.
We regularly arrange services at local churches, including St Andrew's Church and Our Lady and The English Martyrs' Church in the area. Whether your family follows a particular faith tradition, prefers a non-religious service, or would like something that blends elements of both, our team will work with you to reflect what matters most. We are here to make sure the service feels personal and true to the person who died.
Yes, we have a chapel of rest at our funeral home on Adam Street where you are welcome to spend time with the person who died in a quiet and private setting. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor and can comfortably accommodate up to five family members, which we hope makes those early conversations feel a little easier. There is restricted street parking outside the funeral home offering one hour free, and paid car parks are also available nearby.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and we will be ready to help, including bringing your loved one into our care from wherever they have died, whether that is at home, in hospital or at a care setting near Burnham-on-Sea. From that first call, our team will guide you gently through what needs to happen and when, including any paperwork that is required. There is no need to have everything figured out before you ring us.
We work with two local crematoriums, Sedgemoor Crematorium and Weston-super-Mare Crematorium, and we will help you choose whichever feels right for your family. On the day, we take care of every detail of the procession and arrival so that you can focus entirely on being together. Our team will walk you through exactly what to expect at whichever venue you choose, so nothing comes as a surprise.
