All funeral directors are legally required to publish price lists for their products and services. This is to help you understand your options and compare prices between different funeral directors, because prices can vary.
You’ll need to pay 50% of the funeral cost within 2 days of making the arrangements and the rest after the funeral has taken place.

You can pay in full, spread the cost over 6 or 12 months with no additional costs or monthly instalments over 2–25 years (2-5 years for Direct Cremation). There's an additional instalment charge when paying over 2-25 years and age restrictions apply.
Co-op Funeral Plans Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to sell and manage funeral plans.

We're available around the clock, so whenever you need us — day or night — you can call our Shields Road funeral home and our team will come to you. Once your loved one is in our care, there's no rush; you can take the time you need before sitting down with us to talk through the arrangements. We'll also help you understand what paperwork is needed, including registering the death, so you're not left trying to work things out alone.
There is street parking directly outside our Shields Road funeral home, which is free for up to two hours — usually plenty of time for an arrangement meeting. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so every family member can be comfortable and present. Our arrangement room seats up to four people, giving your family a private and unhurried space to make decisions together.

We work with West Road Crematorium, Tynemouth Crematorium, and Whitley Bay Crematorium, and our team will help you choose whichever feels right for your family. On the day, we take care of all the arrangements so that you can focus entirely on being together and saying goodbye. We'll explain exactly what to expect beforehand, so nothing feels unfamiliar or unexpected when the time comes.
