Yes, our team on Moulsham Street is here for families across Writtle, Great Baddow, Springfield, Chelmer Village, and Moulsham, as well as Chelmsford itself. Wherever you are in the area, we can come to you at any time of day or night, and you are always welcome to visit us in person to talk things through at your own pace.
We work with families of all faiths and none, and we have experience arranging services at local churches including Our Lady Immaculate and All Saints in Writtle. Whether your family has a specific religious tradition you would like to honour, or you would prefer a secular ceremony that reflects a life lived on its own terms, our team will listen carefully and make sure the service feels true to the person who died.
We regularly work with Chelmsford Crematorium, Maldon Fields Crematorium, and Dunmow Crematorium, and our team will help you choose the one that feels right for your family. On the day itself, we take care of every detail, from the procession and timing to liaising with the staff at the crematorium, so that you can focus entirely on being together and saying a proper goodbye to the person who died.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and we will come to wherever the person died, whether that is at home, in a hospital, or in a care home in Chelmsford or the surrounding area. Our team will take care of bringing them into our care and will walk you through the paperwork, including the medical certificate and registration of the death, so you never feel like you are navigating it alone.
Our funeral home on Moulsham Street is fully wheelchair accessible, and our chapel of rest is available for families who would like private time with the person who died before the funeral. For parking, the Parkway and Moulsham Street car parks are both a short three-minute walk away, and there are a small number of disabled parking bays on Hall Street for those who need them, please do let us know in advance if accessibility is a concern and we will do everything we can to help.
