Absolutely — we support families with all kinds of services, whether that means a humanist or civil ceremony, a traditional religious service, or something entirely personal that reflects who your loved one was. We have longstanding relationships with several local churches including Corstorphine Old Parish Church, St Ninian's Church, St Anne's, and St Kentigern's, so if faith is important to your family we can arrange the right setting. Whatever you have in mind, our team will listen carefully and help shape a farewell that truly fits.
Our team at W T Dunbar & Sons on St John's Road is available to take your call and talk you through everything, so please don't feel you have to know what to do on your own. We can arrange for your loved one to be brought into our care — including from any of the surrounding areas such as East Craigs or Roseburn — and we'll explain the paperwork and registration process step by step once you're ready. There's no rush to make any decisions in those first hours; the most important thing is that your loved one is in safe, respectful hands.
We work with four crematoriums depending on your family's wishes and location: Warriston, Mortonhall, Seafield, and East Lothian. On the day, our team will travel with your loved one to the crematorium, and we'll be with you throughout the service to make sure everything runs smoothly and at the right pace for your family. Whether you're gathering at Mortonhall's peaceful grounds or making the journey out to East Lothian, we'll handle all the coordination so you can focus on being present.
We're very much here for families across Barnton, and our team also covers Corstorphine, East Craigs, Gyle, Wester Broom, Carrick Knowe, and Roseburn. Whatever your circumstances, we can come to you, guide you through every decision, and make sure your loved one is cared for with complete respect. Please do get in touch — we're here whenever your family needs us.
Our funeral home is on St John's Road, which is on the main street in Corstorphine, so on-street parking can be limited at busier times — but the Tesco car park nearby is free to use, and there are side streets close by where families often park. The building is fully wheelchair accessible with a ground-floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so everyone in your family is welcome without difficulty. We want visiting us to feel as straightforward as possible at what is already a very hard time.
