Yes, our team on Mill Street covers Hatfield as well as the surrounding communities including Cantley, Kirk Sandall, Dunscroft, and Intake. Whether your family is based closer to Armthorpe itself or further out towards Rose Hill, we are here to help you through every step of the process. You are always welcome to call us and we will talk through how we can support you.
We regularly arrange funerals at St Paul's Catholic Church in Cantley and are experienced in supporting families who want a service that honours their faith fully. Our team can liaise directly with the clergy on your behalf to make sure every detail reflects the traditions and rites that matter to your family. We also work with St Wilfred's in Bessacarr and the United Reform Church in Intake, so whatever your faith or denomination, we will find the right setting for you.
Please do not feel you need to have everything figured out before you call us — our team at the Armthorpe funeral home on Mill Street is here to help from the very first moment, including arranging to bring your father into our care. We can talk you through the practical steps, including registering the death and what paperwork will be needed in the coming days. You do not have to face those first difficult hours alone, and there is no pressure to make any decisions straight away.
There is a car park nearby on Mill Street, and street parking is also available in the area. The first 90 minutes of parking are free, and through our online portal you can register your vehicle to receive up to three hours free, which gives your family plenty of time for an arrangement meeting without worrying about the clock. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, and we do have an accessible toilet on site, so please let us know in advance if anyone in your party has any particular needs.
On the day of the cremation, our team will bring your loved one to the chosen venue, which for many families in this area might be St Leonard and St Mary in Armthorpe or one of the other local churches we regularly work with, before travelling on to the crematorium. We will guide your family through the order of the service, whether that is a traditional funeral with hymns and readings or something more personal and informal. Our team stays with you throughout, so you can focus entirely on being together and saying goodbye.
