From our Niddrie Mains Road funeral home, we regularly arrange cremations at Mortonhall, Seafield, Warriston and East Lothian Crematorium, giving your family a genuine choice of setting. On the day itself, our team will guide you through what to expect at whichever crematorium you choose, from arrival and the committal to any music or readings you have selected. We handle all the practical arrangements with the crematorium so you can focus entirely on being together as a family.
We are available to take your call at any time, day or night, and one of our team will talk you through everything calmly and without rush. When you are ready, we will arrange to bring your loved one into our care at our Niddrie Mains Road funeral home, and there is no pressure to have every decision made straight away. The paperwork and formal registration of the death can feel daunting, but we will explain what needs to happen and when, guiding you gently through each step at a pace that suits your family.
Our funeral home on Niddrie Mains Road is fully accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room, wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, so every member of your family can be with you when you come to make arrangements. Our arrangement room comfortably accommodates up to four people, giving families a private, calm space to talk things through with our team. There is also free parking in a nearby car park as well as street parking close by, which we hope makes visiting us a little easier at what is already a difficult time.
We work closely with local churches including Richmond Craigmillar Church and St Teresa of Lisieux, and our team can liaise directly with clergy or officiants on your behalf. Whether your family follows a particular faith, would prefer a non-religious humanist ceremony, or something in between, we will help you shape a farewell that truly reflects the person who has died. There is no obligation to hold a service in a church — we can discuss all available options with you when we meet.
Our Niddrie funeral home on Niddrie Mains Road is well placed to support families across Bingham, Prestonfield, Newcraighall, Peffermill and the surrounding area. Our team knows these communities well, and being local means we can be with you quickly when you need us most. Whatever your circumstances, we are here to help from the very first call.
