Unit 1, Bridgewater Shopping Centre, Erskine, PA8 7AA
We're a well‑established funeral home in Erskine, and proudly part of Co‑op Funeralcare since 2009. We're dedicated to giving you and your family the care and support you need when arranging a funeral, whether you live in Renfrew, Inchinnan, Paisley or Bishopton. We're here to help.
Our team are good listeners, and that's the first thing we will do when we talk with you. That way we can help you arrange the funeral that feels right. We have longstanding relationships with local crematoriums and churches like Erskine Parish Church, Inchinnan Parish Church and Clydebank, Paisley Woodside and Hurlet crematoriums. We also know many of the local religious leaders and some wonderful funeral celebrants.

Our funeral home is located within Bridgewater Shopping Centre, which has a communal car park available free of charge — please be aware that parking is limited to three hours, which is more than enough time for a funeral arrangement meeting. The arrangement room is on the ground floor, and the building is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet available, so every member of your family can attend comfortably. If you have any concerns about access before you visit, please give our team a call and we'll make sure everything is ready for you.
We have strong working relationships with local Catholic churches including St Bernadette's, St John Bosco RC Church, and Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, and we're experienced in co-ordinating with clergy to ensure the funeral reflects your family's faith fully and respectfully. We also work with Erskine Parish Church and Inchinnan Parish Church for Church of Scotland services. Whatever your faith, our team will liaise directly with your minister or priest so that the service honours your loved one in the way that matters most to you.
Please don't feel you have to have everything worked out before you call us — our team at Walter Johnston & Sons is here to help from the very first moment, day or night. We can arrange for your father to be brought into our care, which often brings families a real sense of relief, and from there we'll take everything at a pace that feels right for you. Once you're ready, we can sit down together in our arrangement room here at Bridgewater Shopping Centre and begin planning the funeral without any pressure.
Yes, our team at Walter Johnston & Sons is here to support families across Bishopton, Erskine, Renfrew, Inchinnan, Paisley, Hurlet, Clydebank, and the surrounding area. Wherever you are, we can come to you and guide your family through every step of the arrangements. You don't need to travel far to receive the care and support you deserve.
On the day of the cremation, our team will collect your loved one and bring them to the service venue — we work with a number of local churches, including Erskine Parish Church and Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, where a service can be held before the committal. The service itself usually lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and can be as personal as your family wishes, with music, readings, and tributes. Afterwards, we'll talk you through what happens next, including options for the ashes, so nothing feels uncertain or rushed.
