Our team is available to help your family from the very first moment you need us, including arranging the care and collection of your father at a time that is right for you. When you feel ready, we will invite you to our arrangement room on West King Street in Helensburgh, where one of our team will sit with you to talk through every decision at whatever pace suits you. There is no pressure to have everything in order immediately — we will guide you through the paperwork and practicalities step by step.
Yes, our Helensburgh funeral home on West King Street serves families across the local area, including Cardross, the Gare Loch area, Clydebank, and as far as Argyll and Bute. We have been supporting families throughout this part of Scotland since 1980, so wherever you are based, our team is here to help you make the right arrangements.
On the day of a cremation service, our team will collect your loved one and transport them to the crematorium, with your family following in procession to whichever venue has been arranged. The service itself typically lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and can include music, readings, and tributes chosen by your family, making it as personal as you wish. Afterwards, you will be guided through the options for the ashes, whether that means a local scattering in a meaningful place near Helensburgh or keeping them closer to home.
We work closely with a number of local churches and are very familiar with the requirements of Roman Catholic funeral Masses at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Helensburgh. Our team can also arrange services at Helensburgh Parish Church or Garelochhead Church of Scotland, as well as entirely non-religious ceremonies if that better reflects the wishes of your loved one. Whatever form the service takes, we will liaise with the officiant or celebrant on your family's behalf.
There is a nearby paid car park as well as some street parking close to our funeral home on West King Street, though street spaces can be limited and may be time-restricted, so the car park is often the more reliable option. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor and is fully wheelchair accessible, so please do let us know in advance if anyone in your family has mobility needs and we will make sure everything is ready for your visit.
