Questions and answers

We serve families throughout Kilmarnock and the surrounding communities, including Riccarton, Hurlford, Galston and Kilmaurs. Our team has been part of the local area since the 1940s, so we know these communities well and understand the preferences of families here. Whether you're in the town centre on John Finnie Street or in any of the neighbouring areas, we're here to help you arrange a funeral that feels right for your family.

Yes, we have our own service venue right here at our funeral home on John Finnie Street. Many families in Kilmarnock choose to hold the funeral with us, especially if they'd prefer a more intimate setting or if their loved one didn't have strong ties to a particular church. Our chapel is peaceful and welcoming, and it means everything happens under one roof, which can make the day feel a little easier for everyone. We also have a chapel of rest where you're welcome to spend time with your loved one in private before the service.

Absolutely. We arrange services at Roman Catholic Churches, Church of Scotland Churches and the Salvation Army, as well as non-religious ceremonies for families who prefer a secular approach. Our own service venue here on John Finnie Street is also available if you'd like to hold the funeral at our premises. We work with celebrants and clergy across Kilmarnock to create a service that truly reflects your loved one's beliefs and values, and our team will guide you through every detail with care and respect.

We work with several crematoriums including Holmsford Bridge, Masonhill, Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley, giving your family real choice about where the service takes place. Each has its own character and facilities, and we'll talk you through the options based on what matters most to you, whether that's location, the style of the building, or practical details like parking and accessibility. We handle all the arrangements with the crematorium on your behalf, so you can focus on your family.

The first step is simply to get in touch with us, and we'll guide you through everything from there. If your loved one has passed away at home or in a care setting, we can bring them into our care and to our chapel of rest here in Kilmarnock. When you're ready, we'll sit down together to talk through your wishes, whether that's a service at one of the local churches, at Holmsford Bridge crematorium, or here at our own venue. There's no pressure and no rush. We've been supporting families since the 1940s, and we understand that everyone needs time and space to make these decisions.
