Yes, our team at Whitkirk covers a wide area across east Leeds and beyond, including Garforth, Kippax, Barwick in Elmet, Scholes, and Seacroft, as well as closer communities like Halton Moor, Whinmoor, and Crossgates. Whatever your location, we will come to you and take care of every arrangement from the moment you call us, so your family never has to worry about whether you fall within our reach.
Our team here in Whitkirk has longstanding experience supporting Sikh and Hindu families, and we understand how important it is that every ritual, tradition, and cultural detail is observed with care and respect. We work closely with your family and any community or religious leaders to ensure the service truly reflects your loved one's faith and heritage, and we are always ready to listen first so nothing important is overlooked.
We work with four local crematoriums - Lawnswood, Cottingley, Rawdon, and Pontefract - and we will help your family choose the one that feels right, whether that is based on location, capacity, or simply a place that holds meaning. On the day itself, our team will guide you through every moment, from the arrival of the procession to the committal, so that you can focus entirely on being together and saying goodbye with the dignity your loved one deserves.
We are available around the clock, so whenever you need us - day or night - you can call our team at Whitkirk and we will come to bring your loved one into our care, whether they have died at home, in hospital, or elsewhere. While paperwork like registering the death will need to follow in the days ahead, on that first call we will walk you gently through what needs to happen and when, so you never feel you have to figure things out alone.
There are a small number of parking spaces directly outside our funeral home on Hollyshaw Lane, and additional free parking is available at the Brown Cow pub just across the road, so finding a space is rarely a problem. Our building is fully wheelchair accessible with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, meaning every member of your family can visit us comfortably, including when coming to spend time with your loved one in our chapel of rest.
