We know that the hours after someone dies can feel completely overwhelming, and our team at Kilpatricks on Halifax Road is available to help you from the very beginning. One of the most immediate things we can assist with is bringing your dad into our care — we can arrange collection and talk you through the early paperwork, including registering the death at Rochdale Register Office, which will need to happen within five days. Please don't hesitate to call us; there's no wrong time to reach out and no question too small.
Yes, our team at Kilpatricks covers Whitworth and the surrounding areas, including Littleborough, Rochdale, and Rossendale. Wherever you are across these communities, we can come to you and support your family through every step of the arrangements. You don't need to worry about distance — we're here for families across the whole area.
We work with both Rochdale Crematorium and Middleton Crematorium, and our team will talk you through both options so your family can choose the setting that feels right. On the day itself, we take care of all the coordination — from the order of the service to liaising with staff at the crematorium — so you can focus entirely on being together as a family. We'll make sure you know exactly what to expect before the day arrives.
We have four on-site parking spaces at our Halifax Road funeral home, with additional street parking nearby for larger family groups. The arrangement room is on the ground floor, fully wheelchair accessible, and we have an accessible toilet on site, so every member of your family can feel comfortable during what can be a lengthy and emotional meeting. Our arrangement room seats up to five people, giving your family a calm, private space to make decisions together without feeling rushed.
Absolutely, we arrange funerals of all kinds for families across Rochdale, Littleborough, and beyond, whether that's a traditional religious service, a humanist celebration, or something entirely personal to the person who died. Our team will listen carefully to what matters to your family and help shape a service that truly reflects the life that was lived. There are no expectations here — only a genuine commitment to getting it right for you.
