View funeral notices and leave a tribute or donation in their memory
We work regularly with Agecroft, Peel Green, Blackley, and Howe Bridge crematoriums, each offering its own setting and character to suit your family's wishes. On the day itself, our team will guide you through every detail, from the arrival of the cortège to the committal, so that you can focus entirely on saying goodbye to the person who died. We take care of all the arrangements with each crematorium directly, meaning you will never need to navigate that process alone.
We have been caring for families in Salford since 1921, and over that time we have supported people from many different backgrounds, faiths, and traditions. Our team at Laithwaites has particular experience arranging Irish repatriations, working closely with families to bring their loved one home with dignity and respect. Whether your family's needs are religious, secular, or rooted in a specific cultural tradition, we will listen carefully and make sure the funeral reflects the life that was lived.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and our team will answer and begin making arrangements as soon as you are ready. When someone has died at home or in a care setting near Eccles Old Road, we can come to you and bring them gently into our care, taking as much or as little time as your family needs. We can also help you understand which paperwork needs to be gathered in those early hours, so nothing feels overwhelming at such a difficult time.
Yes, our team at Laithwaites on Eccles Old Road covers Swinton, Prestwich, Eccles, and the wider Salford area, so wherever you are, we are not far away. We are here to support your family from the very first call, and distance within our area will never be a barrier to the care you deserve.
