Co-op Funeralcare, Blackley
11 Victoria Avenue, Blackley, Manchester, M9 6RA
We're proud to have served our community in Blackley since 2000. In that time, our funeral home has helped countless families, offering the practical guidance and advice they need to arrange a fitting send off for a loved one. Whether you live in Blackley or surrounding areas like Middleton, Alkrington, Rhodes or Crumpsall, no one knows the area and its people better than our team.
We will be led by you in making the funeral arrangements. We will listen as you tell us about who they were and what feels right for them. Then we will use our established relationships with local places of worship and crematoriums in the area, like St Paul's Church, St Clare's RC Church and St Andrew's Church to create the funeral that feels right.
If you need us, get in touch. You'll be greeted with a warm welcome, a friendly face and the promise of a cup of tea when we meet at our comfortable funeral home on Victoria Avenue.

We have supported services at a number of local churches, including St Paul's Church, St Clare's RC Church, St Andrew's Church, St John Bosco, and Mount Carmel, and we work closely with ministers and priests to honour your faith and your loved one's wishes. Whether you are planning a traditional Catholic requiem, a Church of England service, or something from another tradition, our team will coordinate everything with your chosen place of worship. No two services are alike, and we will take time to understand what matters most to your family.
We have two dedicated parking spaces directly in front of our funeral home on Victoria Avenue, and there is also plenty of street parking nearby for family members arriving for arrangements or visits. Our building is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with the arrangement room situated on the ground floor, so there are no steps or barriers to worry about. Our arrangement room comfortably seats up to seven people, giving your family space to sit together and make decisions at your own pace.
We work with Blackley Crematorium, Middleton Crematorium, Oldham Crematorium, and Agecroft Crematorium, and we will help you choose the one that feels right for your family. On the day itself, our team will guide you through every moment — from the arrival of the cortège to the committal service — so you can focus entirely on being together and saying goodbye. We will explain what to expect beforehand so nothing feels unfamiliar or rushed.
Our funeral home on Victoria Avenue is here for families across Middleton, Alkrington, Rhodes, Crumpsall, Moston, and Blackley itself, so wherever you are in this part of north Manchester, we can be with you. Distance is never a barrier when your family needs support, and our team will come to you from the very first call. Please do reach out — we are here around the clock.
You do not need to have everything worked out before you call us — our team at Victoria Avenue is available at any hour, day or night, and we can talk you through whatever needs to happen next. If your loved one has died at home in Blackley or the surrounding area, we can arrange for them to be brought gently into our care while you take a breath and gather your family around you. We will help you understand which paperwork and registrations are needed in the coming days, so nothing feels overwhelming.
