Our funeral home in New Ollerton has been serving the local community since 1990. During that time, we've come to know and love our local area well. We cover areas in and around New Ollerton, including Edwinstowe, Bilsthorpe and Newark. We're here to give you a friendly, reliable and sensitively planned funeral service at your time of need.
If you need to arrange a religious or non-religious funeral or one that simply reflects someone's culture or beliefs, we can help you. Yes, our team on Sherwood Drive regularly supports families from Edwinstowe, as well as from Bilsthorpe, Newark, and the wider Sherwood Forest area. Distance is never a barrier when it comes to caring for your family, and we will come to you wherever you are. Please do get in touch and we can talk through everything you need.
We have long experience arranging services at St Joseph's Catholic Church and can work closely with the parish priest to ensure the funeral follows the traditions that matter most to your family. Whether you need a Requiem Mass or a simpler graveside service, our team will handle all the coordination with the church on your behalf. We are here to make sure the service reflects your faith and honours your loved one with the care they deserve.
When someone dies, our team is available to take your call at any time — day or night — so you are never left without support in those first difficult hours. We can arrange to bring your loved one into our care from home, hospital, or a care facility in areas including Newark and Bilsthorpe, and we will explain the paperwork and registrations that need to happen without overwhelming you with information all at once. You do not need to have everything figured out before you ring us; just talking to someone is a good place to start.
On the day of a cremation service, our team will guide you through every moment so that nothing feels uncertain or rushed. We will bring your loved one into the service at the chosen venue — such as St Paulinus Church in New Ollerton — before accompanying the coffin to the crematorium, where the committal takes place. We can help you plan music, readings, and any personal touches that reflect who your loved one was, and our team will be with you throughout the day.
There is a free car park directly behind our funeral home on Sherwood Drive with no time restrictions, so family and friends attending arrangements do not need to worry about moving their cars during what can already be a long and emotional visit. Street parking is also available nearby for any additional vehicles. Our premises are fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground-floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so everyone in your family can feel comfortable and included.
