Co-op Funeralcare, Newmarket
152-154 High Street, Newmarket, CB8 9AQ
Our funeral home has been helping the people of Newmarket say goodbye to their loved ones since 1980. During that time, we've established incredible connections with members of this community, and we've come to understand and love the rich history of the town.
When you begin funeral arrangements with our team, the first thing we do is listen to you. That way we can arrange the funeral that is right for everyone. Whatever their religion or beliefs, if you're looking for something traditional or something more personal and creative, it's okay. We can make it happen, together.
Whether you prefer a chat over the phone or in person at our High Street funeral home, we're here to listen, guide you through your options, and support you at every step.

We work with both Cambridge Crematorium at Cam Valley and West Suffolk Crematorium, giving families flexibility in choosing the right location. Our team will talk you through each option, including travel times and the character of each venue, so you can make the decision that feels right for your loved one. We'll handle all the arrangements and coordinate the service from start to finish.
We serve families throughout Newmarket and the surrounding communities. Our High Street location has been part of this town since 1980, and over the decades we've built strong relationships across the area. Whether your family lives in the town centre or in the villages nearby, our team is here to support you with compassionate, local care.
We arrange funerals for Church of England families across Newmarket, working closely with local clergy to create meaningful services. We also support families who prefer non-religious or humanist ceremonies, whether at Cambridge Crematorium, West Suffolk Crematorium, or another venue that holds significance for you. Our role is to listen to what matters most to your family and bring that vision to life.
The first step is simply to call us, and we'll guide you through everything from there. Our team will bring your loved one into our care, help you register the death, and sit down with you to plan the funeral at a pace that feels comfortable. We've been supporting Newmarket families since 1980, so we understand this may be your first time arranging a funeral, and we'll explain each step clearly along the way.
Yes, we have a chapel of rest here on the High Street where you're welcome to spend time with your loved one in a peaceful, private setting. Visiting can be an important part of saying goodbye, and our team will arrange times that work for your family. We'll make sure everything is prepared with care and dignity, and you can visit as often as you need to during the days leading up to the funeral.
