Absolutely. We arrange funerals across Castleford, Featherstone, Knottingley, Ferrybridge and the surrounding areas, so you're very much within our care. Our team knows these communities well, and we're here to support families right across the local area, not just in Pontefract itself. Distance is never a barrier when it comes to looking after you properly.
Absolutely. We arrange services at local churches including Allsaints Church Pontefract, St Joseph's Church Pontefract and Saint Giles, working closely with clergy who know the community. For families who prefer a non-religious ceremony, we can arrange a personal celebration of life at the crematorium or another venue that holds meaning for you. We'll guide you through the options and help create a service that truly reflects your loved one.
Yes, we have a peaceful chapel of rest here at our Woolmarket branch in Pontefract, where you're welcome to spend time with your loved one in private. Visiting can be an important part of saying goodbye, and our team will arrange appointments at times that suit you and your family. We'll make sure the environment is calm and comfortable, and you can visit as often as you need to during the days leading up to the funeral.
We work with Pontefract Crematorium, Wakefield Crematorium and Cottingley Hall Crematorium, giving you genuine choice based on what feels right for your family. During our first conversation, we'll talk through the locations, timings and facilities at each one, and help you decide which suits your needs best. Many families prefer to use the crematorium closest to where their loved one lived, but the decision is entirely yours.
You don't need to arrange anything before we can help. Just give us a call and we'll bring your loved one into our care as soon as you're ready, whether that's from hospital, a care home or their own home. We'll take care of all the practicalities from that point forward, and there's no pressure to make any decisions until you've had time to think. Our team will walk you through everything gently, step by step, whenever you feel ready to talk about the funeral itself.
