You can call us at any time, day or night, and we'll be there to help, including bringing your loved one into our care from wherever they died, whether at home, in hospital, or elsewhere in the local area. Our Fore Street funeral home has a chapel of rest, so your loved one will be looked after with the greatest dignity while you take the time you need. We can also help you understand the paperwork and practical steps involved, so nothing feels overwhelming in those early hours.
Our funeral home on Fore Street has 30 minutes of free restricted street parking directly outside, with payable car parks a short distance away for longer visits. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so we can accommodate everyone comfortably. Our arrangement room seats up to five people, giving your family a quiet, private space to talk everything through with our team.
We work with two crematoriums, Treswithian Downs and Penmount, both of which are well-regarded local facilities that our team knows well. On the day, we'll guide the procession from the family's chosen location, whether that's a home, our Fore Street funeral home, or a church such as St Andrew's in Redruth, and make sure everything runs smoothly so your family can focus on being together. We'll talk you through what to expect at whichever crematorium feels right for you, so there are no surprises.
We arrange all kinds of funerals, from traditional religious services at local venues such as The Assumption Church or Redruth Kingdom Hall in Cran Brea, to entirely non-religious celebrations of a life. What matters most to us is that the service reflects the person who died and feels right for your family. Our team will listen carefully and help you shape something meaningful, whatever your beliefs or wishes.
Yes, we're very much here for families in Portreath, and we cover the wider area including Chacewater, Mount Hawke and Illogan too. Our team on Fore Street has been supporting local communities since 2019, and we'll come to you wherever you are. You don't need to travel to us until you feel ready, and we can talk through everything by phone first if that helps.
