Co-op Funeralcare, Rutherglen
41 Queen Street, Rutherglen, G73 1JP
We're proud to have served our community in Rutherglen since 1990. In that time, our funeral home has helped countless families, offering the practical guidance and advice they need to arrange a fitting send off for a loved one. Whether you live in Rutherglen or surrounding areas like Burnside, Bankhead, Toryglen or Cambuslang, no one knows the area and its people better than our team.
The first thing we'll do at the arrangement meeting is listen to you. And whatever your religion, culture or heritage, we can help you arrange the right kind of funeral. We work with all the local places of worship and crematoriums, including St Columbkille's Catholic Church, Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill Parish Church and Rutherglen Baptist Community Church and Daldowie, Linn and Hurlet crematoriums. So whatever type of funeral you need to arrange, we can help you.
We will give you a warm welcome, a cup of tea and the confidence that any funeral you arrange with us will be the best it can be. Call us or come to our funeral home on Queen Street.

Yes, our team on Queen Street looks after families across Cambuslang, Burnside, Toryglen and many of the surrounding communities. We have been caring for local families since 1990, so wherever you are in the area, you are never far from our support. Please do not hesitate to call us and we will talk through everything at a pace that suits you.
We work closely with a number of local churches, including St Columbkille's Catholic Church and Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill Parish Church, and we are experienced in arranging services that honour a wide range of faiths and traditions. Our team will liaise directly with the clergy or celebrant of your choice, handling all the practical details so your family does not have to. Whether the service is Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, or of any other tradition, we are here to make sure it reflects the life and beliefs of the person who died.
On the day of a cremation service, our team will guide your family through every moment, from the arrival of the cortège to the committal itself, so nothing feels unfamiliar or rushed. We are able to hold a service here at our Queen Street funeral home, which accommodates up to 50 people, before the journey to the crematorium. We will make sure you understand the order of the day in advance, including timings and what happens after the service, so your family can focus entirely on saying goodbye.
You can call our Queen Street funeral home at any time, day or night, and one of our team will answer and begin helping you straight away. We can arrange for your loved one to be brought into our care from their home, a hospital, or a care facility in Rutherglen or the surrounding area, including Parkhead and Daldowie. Once they are with us, there is no pressure to make immediate decisions — we will sit with you in our ground floor arrangement room and talk through the next steps gently and at your own pace.
There is parking available directly in front of our funeral home on Queen Street, as well as on the streets around us, so arriving for an arrangement or a chapel of rest visit should be straightforward. Our premises are on the ground floor and fully wheelchair accessible, meaning families do not need to manage any steps or stairs. If you have any concerns about access before you visit, please call us and we will do our best to make sure everything is comfortable for you and your family.
