On the day of the cremation, our team will bring your loved one to the service in our care, and we will guide your family through every moment so nothing feels uncertain. The service itself usually lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, though we can discuss timing and any personal touches you would like to include when we meet at our Dumbarton Road funeral home. Afterwards, we will talk you through the options for your loved one's ashes, whether that means a keepsake, a scatter, or something entirely personal to your family.
Yes, our team on Dumbarton Road is very much here for families in Knightswood, as well as the surrounding areas of Partick, Scotstoun, Dalmuir, Clydebank, and Bishopbriggs. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please do not hesitate to call us and we will always do our best to help. No family should have to travel far at such a difficult time.
When someone you love has died, you do not need to have everything figured out before you call us — that is exactly what we are here for. Our team at the Scotstoun funeral home on Dumbarton Road can come to bring your loved one into our care at any hour, day or night, and there is no pressure to make any further decisions straight away. We will walk you gently through the paperwork and next steps when you are ready, so nothing falls on your shoulders alone.
Absolutely — we arrange all kinds of services here on Dumbarton Road, from traditional church funerals to fully non-religious celebrations of life. Many families in Partick and across Glasgow choose a humanist or civil ceremony, and we work closely with celebrants who can reflect exactly who your loved one was. There is no single right way to say goodbye, and our team will help you shape something that feels true to your family.
You can park directly on Dumbarton Road outside our funeral home, and there are no parking restrictions to worry about, which we know makes a real difference when your mind is elsewhere. Our funeral home is fully accessible at ground level, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, an accessible toilet, and a ground floor arrangement room, so every member of your family can be with you when it matters most. If you have any specific access requirements before visiting us in Scotstoun, please call ahead and we will make sure everything is ready for you.
