We have experience supporting families from the Travelling community, as well as Catholic, Church of England, and Humanist backgrounds, and we understand that each tradition brings its own wishes and expectations. Our team will take time to listen carefully to what matters most to your family, whether that means a particular style of service, specific music, or particular arrangements for the procession. We'll work with you from our funeral home on Flaxley Road to make sure the funeral truly reflects the person who died.
You can call our Flaxley Road funeral home at any time, day or night, and our team will be there to guide you calmly through those first difficult hours. We can arrange for your father to be brought into our care when the time feels right for your family, and there's no pressure to have everything decided immediately. Once he's in our care, we'll sit down with you in our arrangement room and help you understand the paperwork and next steps at a pace that suits you.
Yes, we're here to help families across the wider Selby area, including Hemingbrough, Barlby, Brayton, Wistow, Hambleton, Cliffe, and Thorpe Willoughby. Our team on Flaxley Road is never far away, and we'll come to you wherever you are in the area when your family needs us most.
We work with Bishopthorpe Crematorium and Pontefract Crematorium, both well-regarded facilities that our team know well and liaise with closely on your behalf. On the day, we'll manage everything from the departure from Flaxley Road to the arrival at the crematorium, ensuring the procession runs smoothly and your family can focus entirely on being together. We'll talk you through what to expect at whichever crematorium you choose during your arrangement meeting.
Abbey Walk car park is just nearby and offers free parking for up to two hours, which is usually plenty of time for an arrangement meeting, and there is also street parking close to Flaxley Road. Our funeral home is fully accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room, wheelchair access throughout, and an accessible toilet, so nobody in your family need worry about getting around. We want everyone who needs to be with you to feel comfortable and welcome when they visit us.
