We opened our doors in 1970, so we've been caring for families in Manor, Gleadless and Arbourthorne for over fifty years. That means we've built deep roots in this community and we understand what matters to local families. Our experience helps us anticipate your needs and support you with confidence, but we never lose sight of the fact that every family and every funeral is unique.
Yes, we arrange services for Church of England, Catholic and Baptist families regularly, and we have strong relationships with local ministers and priests throughout Manor, Birley and the surrounding areas. We'll liaise with your chosen church or chapel to arrange the service, whether that's a traditional requiem mass, a Baptist celebration of life, or an Anglican funeral. If you don't have a church connection, we can help you find an officiant who'll create a meaningful service.
The first step is to call us, and our team will guide you through everything that needs to happen next. We'll arrange to bring your loved one into our care and then sit down with you to plan the funeral, whether that's at our Suffolk Road funeral home or in the comfort of your own home. You're welcome to visit our chapel of rest once we've prepared your loved one, and we'll make sure you have all the time you need.
We work closely with both City Road Crematorium and Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium, and we'll help you choose the one that feels right for your family. Each venue has its own character and facilities, and we can talk you through what to expect on the day. Our team will coordinate all the details with the crematorium, so you can focus on remembering your loved one.
We serve families across Manor, Birley, Gleadless and Arbourthorne, and we've been part of this community since 1970. Our team knows these neighbourhoods well, and we're here to support local families when they need us most. Whether you're arranging a funeral from home or would like to visit us on Suffolk Road, we'll make sure everything is handled with care and respect.
