We regularly work with local churches and places of worship to arrange services that are meaningful to the families we support. We have close links with St Patrick's Church in Lane Top, St Leonard's Church in Norwood, Christchurch in Pitsmoor, and the New Testament Church of God on Nursery Street, among others. Whether your family follows a particular faith tradition or you would prefer a non-religious ceremony, our team will work with you to create a service that truly honours the person who has died.
Please do not hesitate to call us, day or night, as our team is available around the clock to bring your loved one into our care from wherever they have died, whether at home, in hospital, or elsewhere in the Hillsborough and Firth Park area. Once they are safely in our care at Herries Road, we can arrange a time for your family to come in and begin making arrangements at a pace that suits you. We have two arrangement rooms and can comfortably welcome up to eight family members, so you need not come alone.
Yes, our team on Herries Road covers Parson Cross as well as the surrounding neighbourhoods including Shirecliffe, Longley, Norwood, Hillsborough, Firth Park, and Shiregreen. We have been serving families across this part of Sheffield since 1980, so we know the local area and the communities within it well. Whatever your circumstances, we are here to help from the very first call.
We work with three crematoriums for families in this area: Grenoside, City Road, and Hutcliffe Wood, and our team will help you choose the one that feels right for your family. On the day itself, we will guide the cortège from the funeral home and remain with you throughout, ensuring every detail — from the order of service to the music — reflects the person who has died. Our team will be by your side to make sure the day runs smoothly so your family can focus on saying goodbye.
Our funeral home on Herries Road is fully accessible at ground level, with a ground floor arrangement room, wheelchair access throughout, and an accessible toilet on site. We have six on-site parking spaces directly in front of the funeral home, with additional road parking available on nearby streets, so reaching us should be straightforward for everyone in your family. If you have any specific access needs, please let us know in advance and our team will make sure everything is arranged to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
