Yes, our team at Shotts regularly supports families from Allanton and the surrounding villages, including Bonkle, Salsburgh, and Holytown. We also cover West Lothian and the Daldowie area, so wherever you are based, please do get in touch and we will talk through how we can help your family.
Please do not feel you need to have everything worked out before you call us; our team is here at any hour and can talk you through the immediate next steps calmly and without pressure. We can arrange for your father to be brought into our care from the Shotts area or further afield, and once he is with us on Station Road you will have time to meet with us and begin making arrangements at a pace that suits your family. We will also help you understand the paperwork and registration process so nothing is overlooked.
We work closely with local clergy and have long-standing experience arranging services at St Patrick's RC Church as well as Allanton Parish Church and Shotts EU Church, so we are well placed to support families of different faiths. Our team will liaise directly with the church on your behalf, coordinating everything from the order of service to the timing of the cortège so your family can focus on being together.
A cremation service typically begins with a gathering at a church or service venue before your loved one is taken to the crematorium, and our team will guide your family through every step so nothing feels uncertain. We are able to hold services at our own funeral home on Station Road, which can accommodate up to 30 people, or at a local venue such as Shotts EU Church if you would prefer a place of worship. We will discuss timings, music, readings, and any personal wishes well in advance so the day reflects the life of the person who died.
Our funeral home on Station Road has street parking nearby, and there is free parking available on the local residential streets close to us. The arrangement room is on the ground floor and we have full wheelchair access throughout, as well as an accessible toilet, so every member of your family is able to be with you when you come to make arrangements. We have been serving families in Shotts since 1956 and our team will do everything possible to make your visit as comfortable as it can be.
