Our Skelton funeral home serves families across a wide area, including East Cleveland and the broader Teesside region, so wherever you are based locally, our team can help. We are familiar with the roads, communities, and venues throughout the area, which means we can focus on caring for your family rather than navigating unfamiliar ground. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, please do give us a call and we will be happy to confirm.
We regularly work with local churches in and around Skelton, including St Margaret's, Our Lady of Lourdes, and St Leonard's, so arranging a religious funeral with a ceremony that reflects your loved one's faith is something our team does often. Whether you have a specific church in mind or would like our guidance on the right venue, we will make the necessary arrangements on your behalf. We are also experienced in co-ordinating with clergy and officiants to ensure the service is conducted exactly as your family wishes.
When someone dies, you do not need to have everything figured out straightaway — our team at the Skelton funeral home is here to take things one step at a time with you. We can arrange for your loved one to be brought into our care, and once they are with us, there is no pressure to make every decision at once. When you are ready, we will sit down with you in our ground-floor arrangement room on High Street to talk through everything calmly, and we can help with paperwork and guidance on registering the death in East Cleveland.
There is a free car park directly opposite our funeral home on High Street, which also has dedicated disabled parking bays and electric vehicle charging spaces, so arriving should be straightforward for your family. Street parking is available nearby as well if the car park is busy. Our arrangement room comfortably accommodates up to four people, so please do bring whoever you would like with you for support — having a trusted person beside you when making arrangements can make a real difference.
On the day of a cremation, our team will bring your loved one's coffin to the chosen venue — such as All Saints' Church or another local place of worship — before the committal itself takes place at the crematorium. We will guide your family through the order of the day, from the timing of the cortège to what happens when you arrive, so there are no unexpected moments. Families can choose music, readings, and whether the service is led by a celebrant or officiant, and we will help you plan every detail in advance so the day feels as personal and calm as possible.
