A cremation service usually begins with a gathering at a chapel or ceremony venue where family and friends come together to celebrate and remember the person who died, before the coffin is taken to the crematorium. Our team at Moisters will talk you through the timings carefully, so you know exactly what to expect and nothing feels rushed or uncertain. We handle all the arrangements between the service venue and the crematorium, and we're with your family throughout the day to offer guidance and quiet support.
When you're ready, calling our team at Moisters on Station Road is one of the most important early steps, and we're here to take that call at any hour — day or night. We can arrange to bring the person who died into our care, which often gives families in Ainsdale, Birkdale, and Formby a sense of relief at a very difficult time. From there, we'll gently guide you through the paperwork and practical decisions, so nothing feels overwhelming and you can focus on your family.
There's a free car park close by, and you can also park on Main Street for up to two hours or find unrestricted parking down the side street near the Co-op Food store, so getting to us from across Southport and the surrounding area should be straightforward. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, which means there are no stairs to manage, and we have a ramp available should any member of your family need wheelchair access. We also have an accessible toilet on site, and our team is always happy to make any additional arrangements to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.
We have a great deal of experience supporting Catholic families in Southport and the wider area, and we understand how important it is to follow the traditions and rituals of the faith properly. Our team at Moisters will liaise with your chosen priest and parish church to co-ordinate the Requiem Mass and any other elements your family wishes to include. We'll make sure every detail reflects the faith and the person who died, from the prayers and music to the order of the service.
Yes, our team at Moisters on Station Road covers Formby and the surrounding area, including Ainsdale, Birkdale, Southport, and across into West Lancashire. Wherever you are in these communities, we can come to you and support your family through every step of the arrangements. You're very welcome to visit us in person, and we'd always recommend calling us first so we can make sure everything is ready for you.
