We have longstanding relationships with several local churches and can arrange services at Sacred Heart RC Church, St Mary's RC Church, St Peter's Church in Birkdale, and Lord Street West United Church. Whether your family's faith is central to the funeral or you simply want a service that reflects your loved one's beliefs, our team will work with the relevant clergy or celebrant to make the day meaningful and personal.
We have three on-site parking spaces at Brookfields, and there is also restricted street parking directly opposite the funeral home which offers one hour free with no return within the hour. If your family needs a little more time, the Salvation Army car park immediately adjacent to us is free to use, though please bear in mind it closes at 5pm. Our ground-floor arrangement room is fully accessible for wheelchair users via the rear entrance, so please let us know in advance and our team will make sure everything is ready for your arrival.
Yes, our team at Brookfields on Shakespeare Street regularly supports families across Formby, Ainsdale and the wider Southport area. We also cover Ormskirk, Burscough, Anfield and much of West Lancashire, so wherever you are based, we are here to help your family through every step of the arrangement.
On the day of a cremation, we will guide your family through the entire process so there are no unexpected surprises. Many families in the Southport area choose to hold a service at one of the local churches we work with, such as St Peter's Church in Birkdale or Sacred Heart RC Church, before the cremation itself takes place. We will take care of all the timing and logistics, keeping you fully informed so your family can focus on being together and saying a proper goodbye.
Our team at Brookfields on Shakespeare Street is available to take your call and talk you through the immediate next steps, including arranging for your loved one to be brought into our care at a time that is right for your family. We can also help you understand the paperwork and registration process, which needs to be completed in Southport, and we will walk alongside you so nothing feels overwhelming in those early hours.
