Absolutely — and it is more common than many families realise. Whether you want a fully secular ceremony, a humanist-led service, or simply a gathering that reflects who the person was without religious elements, we will help you shape something personal and fitting. Our arrangement room on Station Street is a calm, private space where we can sit down together and think through what would feel right for your family.
A cremation service follows much the same shape as any funeral — your family and friends gather to say goodbye, often with music, readings, or tributes that reflect the person who died, before the coffin is formally committed. We take care of all the arrangements beforehand, from liaising with the crematorium to helping you choose the right order of service, so the day itself feels as meaningful and unhurried as possible. If you have questions about timings or what to expect, our team at the Spalding funeral home on Station Street is always happy to talk you through everything in advance.
Yes — there is restricted street parking directly to the side of the funeral home that gives you one hour free, which is usually enough time for an initial visit. If you need longer, there are payable car parks nearby in Spalding town centre. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor and the building is fully wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet available, so please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable.
Please do not worry about having everything figured out right now; our team is available around the clock, and the most important thing is simply to call us. We will come to wherever your father is in the Spalding area or beyond — whether that is a family home, a hospital, or a care facility — and bring him into our care with dignity and gentleness. From there, we can guide you through the paperwork and next steps at whatever pace suits you.
Not at all. Our team covers a wide area across South Lincolnshire, including Crowland, Pinchbeck, Moulton Chapel, and further afield to Boston and Peterborough, so wherever you are in the region, we can be there for your family. Distance is never a barrier when it comes to caring for someone you love, and we will travel to you when the time comes.
