Our Spennymoor funeral home on King Street serves families across a wide area, including Bowburn, Tursdale, Brandon, Durham, and throughout Wear Valley. Wherever you are in the surrounding area, our team can come to you and handle every aspect of the arrangements so your family doesn't have to travel far to get the support you need.
There is free parking close by on the street and in a nearby car park, and families are also welcome to use the car parks at the Aldi and Home Bargains near King Street. Our ground-floor arrangement room means there are no stairs to manage when you visit us, though please do let us know in advance if anyone in your family has particular accessibility needs so we can do our best to help.
We arrange all kinds of funerals for families in Spennymoor and the surrounding area, whether that's a traditional religious service, a fully secular humanist ceremony, or something personal that doesn't fit neatly into either. Our team will take the time to understand what feels right for your family and help you shape a farewell that truly reflects the person who died.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you call us; simply getting in touch is enough to set things in motion. Our team at the King Street funeral home is available to take your call, answer your immediate questions, and arrange to bring your loved one into our care at a time that works for your family. We'll walk you through the paperwork and the next steps gently, one thing at a time.
We'll guide your family through every moment of the day, from the time we bring your loved one into our care through to the service itself and beyond. On the day, our team will lead the cortège, ensure everything runs to time, and stay with your family throughout so no one feels uncertain about what comes next. Afterwards, we can discuss the return of your loved one's ashes and any memorial wishes your family has in mind.
