When you begin funeral arrangements with our team, the first thing we do is listen to you. That way we can arrange the funeral that is right for everyone. All funeral directors are legally required to publish price lists for their products and services. This is to help you understand your options and compare prices between different funeral directors, because prices can vary.
You’ll need to pay 50% of the funeral cost within 2 days of making the arrangements and the rest after the funeral has taken place.

You can pay in full, spread the cost over 6 or 12 months with no additional costs or monthly instalments over 2–25 years (2-5 years for Direct Cremation). There's an additional instalment charge when paying over 2-25 years and age restrictions apply.
Co-op Funeral Plans Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to sell and manage funeral plans.

Our chapel of rest at the funeral home on Manchester Road offers a quiet, private space where you can spend time with your loved one before the funeral, and you are welcome to visit as many times as you need. The funeral home is fully wheelchair accessible, so we can welcome every member of the family comfortably. Parking is available on Cambridge Road at the side of the building, and there is also a car park at the George and Dragon pub directly opposite if you need additional space.
We have been supporting families of all faiths and none from our funeral home on Manchester Road since 1960, and we will always follow your lead when it comes to how the service is shaped. Whether you would like a traditional religious ceremony, a humanist celebration of life, or something that draws on a particular cultural tradition, our team will work with you to honour what matters most. No two funerals are the same, and we are here to make sure your loved one's is truly their own.
We work closely with both Stockport Crematorium and Manchester Crematorium, and our team will help you decide which feels right for your family. On the day itself, we will take care of every detail, from bringing your loved one into the chapel to guiding you and your guests through the service with quiet, respectful care. We want the day to feel as personal and as peaceful as possible, so we will talk everything through with you well in advance.
